The Colony sits in northern Arlington County with 1950s and 1960s brick ramblers and split-level homes on compact lots along streets such as 22nd Road North and North Quincy Street. Narrow driveways and mature trees make roll-off placement tricky, so crews often set containers on the street after checking Arlington County permit rules. Residents tackling kitchen updates, basement cleanouts or roof replacements in this pocket near Cherrydale call for 10- or 15-yard units that fit tight spaces without blocking neighbors.
Humid summers and occasional winter freezes affect how long a dumpster stays on site. Wet soil after heavy rain can soften yards, so crews lay plywood under wheels when dropping units near The Colony Swim and Tennis Club. Proximity to Glebe Road and Lee Highway means traffic builds during rush hours, so morning deliveries before 8am keep the schedule moving for homeowners between Falls Church and Alexandria lines.
Service reaches The Colony directly from the base at 709 N Wayne St, Arlington, VA 22201. Calls during Mon–Fri 8am–6pm or Sat 9am–2pm get same-week delivery for projects on North 24th Street or adjacent blocks in Lyon Village.

Dumpster Rental in The Colony — Local Notes
- •1950s lots in The Colony have short aprons and overhead branches that force smaller containers or street-side drops instead of driveway placement.
- •Clay-heavy soil near North Quincy Street turns soft after summer storms, requiring plywood protection under dumpster wheels to avoid ruts.
- •Winter freezes along 22nd Road North can ice over access points, so crews schedule morning drops before shaded sections refreeze.
- •Tight blocks near The Colony Swim and Tennis Club limit truck turning radius, so advance site photos help match the right truck size.
